Brief: to create a social kitchen with a New York loft vibe

Despite the south aspect, the kitchen was dark, devoid of character and not conducive for entertaining.  A side extension with glass lantern skylight and two sets of reclaimed Edwardian doors lets natural light to flood in.  Eclectically layering many reclaimed materials with exposed structural details, mid century furniture and many industrial features creates the perfect entertaining space that could easily be in an old industrial mill.  Such is its splendour, the owner has rented this unique space out for product launches and weddings.
